You can use your PAX terminal (A920 / A920 Pro / A920 Max) to accept both Pay by Bank and card payments with Atoa. Setup is quick and only takes a few minutes.
How do I connect my PAX terminal to Wi-Fi?

Power on your device by holding the power button until the screen lights up.

Swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Android status bar.

Toggle Wi-Fi On (if it’s off) and select your preferred network from the list.

Enter the Wi-Fi password and tap Connect.
Once connected, you’ll see the Wi-Fi icon in the status bar.
Tip: Keep your terminal close to your router for a stable connection.
How do I install the paper roll?
- Pull the latch on top of the terminal’s printer cover to open it.
- Place the paper roll inside with the paper feeding from the bottom and rolling forward.
- Pull a small strip of paper outside the lid.
- Close the cover until it clicks shut.
Tip: Use high-quality 58 mm thermal paper to get clear prints and reduce jams.
How do I test my setup?

Open the Atoa POS app on your terminal.

Create a small test payment (e.g. £1.00).

Try both Pay by Bank and Card.

Check that a receipt is printed.

Troubleshooting FAQ
Wi-Fi won’t connect

Re-enter the password and move closer to the router.

Check Airplane Mode is off, then toggle Wi-Fi back on.
No receipts or blank receipts

Make sure the paper is the right way up (thermal side facing correctly).

Confirm you’re using 57/58 mm thermal paper.

Re-print from the app if the last print failed.
App or device is unresponsive

Hold the Power button to restart.

Check storage and battery before trying again.
