Email compliance@paywithatoa.co.uk with the subject line "Data deletion request". Include:
- Your full name
- The email address and phone number linked to your Atoa account (or the ones you used to pay)
- If you're a business, your merchant name
What happens next?
- We'll confirm we've received your request. We may ask for some information to verify your identity, so that nobody else can have your data deleted.
- We'll respond within one month of receiving your request. The clock pauses while we wait for the information we need to verify your identity, and restarts from where it stopped once we have it.
- If your request is complex, we may need up to two more months. If so, we'll tell you within the first month.
- This is free of charge.
What can and can't be deleted?
Atoa is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. By law, we have to keep certain records, including identity checks and payment records, for at least five years after your relationship with us ends or after a payment is made. We will delete or anonymise any data we don't need to keep, and restrict how we use the rest until we can delete it.
If you paid a business using Atoa, that business and your bank keep their own records of the payment. Please contact them directly to ask about those.

We only use marketing contact details that we've collected ourselves or bought from providers who collected them in line with UK data protection law. If you'd like to know where we got your details, ask in your email.
